Luckily Black does appear to have some sort of heart and doesn't fire her. Instead, the only option she has left is to have Avery work for free until her debt is paid off. In this 4th book we didn't see Sean again until at least half way and I really liked that. I liked to know that Avery was able to stand up for herself and not just forgive him so easy.
That said, I would have like to learn more about what makes Sean tick. We already had a glimpse in to his secret but I want more. His words to Avery broke her and I want him begging at her feet apologising, I'm interested to see how they will over come this. You can go. I wanted to kick Sean in the balls!! Why does he keep showing her this wonderful charismatic side of himself and then when things get too real, he does a into doucheville?!!!! Avery tells him she loves him and he sends her back to Miss Black. Avery in a fit of rage throws a bunch of cash in his face, cash Miss Black gave as an advance to buy some clothes. Apparently it's enough to buy a new car. Now poor Avery has to pay it back by working her ass off for free for Miss Black.
I cringed when thinking what kind of jobs she would send our poor girl out on. She's so almost completely broken at this point. The man she loves just threw her away. Her beloved parents are both dead. She's in jeopardy of losing her scholarship. She's in such dire straits she has to become a hooker to get by. My stomach twists like I'm going to be sick. I gave him my heart and he fucking returned me--like I was broken.
When is Avery going to get a break here?!!! What the fuck is up with Sean?!!! I know, he's mourning his dead wife, but to totally obliterate this poor girl is just unforgivable. Avery keeps going on. She has tenacity! Life keeps bitch slapping me, but I keep getting up Things like the sky and the sea calm me. They remind me how small I am.
Maybe that makes other people feel lost, but it makes me feel like my problems aren't so large, like maybe I can really survive this life and all the things that have happened to me.
If a grain of sand can stand to be pounded by the sea, then I can take the beating I've been handed. She runs into Sean again after having not seen him since he kicked her ass to the curb and to her dismay, she's still affected by him.
It feels like my heart has become a black hole and my entire body is being crushed and sucked into the massive force. My chest aches, it literally aches to have him so close.
Just one more go around with him will completely obliterate what's left of her heart and soul. Ok so there was only one thing I didn't like about this one.
I noticed a couple of scenes were extremely close to some popular scenes in the movie Pretty Woman. Could have done without that. This story can hold its own without borrowing from a popular movie!!! Also I just have to get this off my chest.

Yes, her story idea is a good one, and her writing is decent grammatical errors, plot holes and lack of attention to detail not-withstanding. However, I won't tolerate an author who draws out these installments for the sake of financial gain, and in doing so is lifting story lines from other authors and movies just so that she can pad these stories and fill in the holes.
Ward has been watching or reading during each of these installments. Did you think no one would notice that you have essentially lifted scenes from Pretty Woman and inserted them into this book? As is usual we pick up right where we left off: Avery is wandering the streets in pain and complete helplessness after telling Sean how she feels. He has returned her. Avery must now face Miss Black and beg for her job. She also now owes Miss Black the money she was advanced.
That remains upstairs in the hotel. But, Sean seems to be popping up everywhere, and Avery is trying to move on-unsuccessfully--despite Sean's persistence about wanting to talk to her. Things are not always what they seem and Sean obviously regrets letting her go.
We sense this but never actually hear him admit it until a tragic turn for the worse I will wait patiently, biding my time and being the masochist that I am, because like Avery, I am now a whore to this series and Mz. I am not one to give bad reviews but when i start a series and I read it in just 30 minutes, I am mad! Laugh it up H. Ward knowing that you write good books and keept the audience with your short scam books.
This was the shortest one of them all. Authors What the hell is wrong with writers there days??? Authors can write all these series in 1 book and put a reasonable price on them and people will enjoy them and not feel scammed! I know I would buy a book no matter the cost if it was good so instead of scamming your readers have a little pride and self respect to not screw with the people that make you your money.

Avery has loved and lost not only her family, but Sean Ferro as well. She admittedly gave him her heart only for him to return it, and after a few run-ins, albeit unsuccessful, with the elusive Sean Ferro, Avery must continue her daily struggle to persevere, and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel.
The ending to volume 4 will leave Avery hanging by a thread to sanity as she may have lost the ability to protect her heart, but her mind as well. Each installment in this series has been an emotional roller coated ride. I love everything about this series from the characters to the story line to Ms. Ward's cliffhanger endings. This series is addicting. It has stolen my heart and my sanity. I strongly recommend this series. I gave The Arrangement Volume 4 by H. If you haven't jumped on The Arrangement bandwagon I'm happy to report that Volume 4 ins't the final installment in this series.
I'm extremely glad that Ms. Ward has decided to continue this series. For one, I didn't see how Sean ad Avery's story could be wrapped up in only one more installment. Plus, more installments means more Sean and Avery!!
And who could complain about that. Oh my God, Holly has so done it again!!!! While reading, I was happy, sad, laughed out loud lots , angry and really tense by the end of it. She truly invokes every emotion in this page volume! I couldn't put my eReader down. I even read while walking and going to the bathroom I know TMI! If you haven't read the previous 3 volumes you are seriously missing OUT!!!!

You know you've stumbled onto something wonderful when you get tingles from the first chapter. M Ward's style of writting. I love her sense of humour and the way she puts so much detail in describing her characters and the emotions they go through. She is funny as heck and her books are emotionnaly charged! The Arrangement series is just that, a series. Whereas novels tend to be more like watching a movie with a nice conclusion and perhaps a hint towards a sequel, series are like watching a good tv show, episode by episode, always ending in a cliffhanger that leaves you begging for more.
At the time of writting this review, the 10th book is about to come out. As with all of her serials, this book starts off where the last one ended, like wham-bam-thank-you-M'am! Starts out intense, hot and heavy with the anticipation that Ward is so clever at delivering. LOL funny and witty, you easily get attached to her characters main and secondary , even the ones you love to hate.
As with all Arrangement books, this one ends in an unresolved situation which makes you want to dive into book 3 immediately to find out what happens next! Entertainment at it's best!!! The quality of the writting is awesome! I say, give it a try, buy the first book and if you fall in love with her style of writting, like many of us have, go ahead! The Arrangement is not your typical series.
It is the love story of Sean Ferro and Avery Stanz, 2 people that have been dealt a band hand, find each during unusual circumstances and fall in love against all odds. Enjoy the ride I know I am! Frustrating in a good way , sad, compassionnate, joyful, funny, sexy, rage, heartbreak, devastation, torment, despair, twisted, intense! My rating: 5 of 5 stars. A love story between Sean Ferro and Avery Stanz. The emotional turmoil that Avery goes through is unreal.
In book 4, Avery's situation goes from bad to worse and it just seems like there is no "happily ever after" in sight for her, like AT ALL!. Loved it! This was one of my favorite books of the series. Packed with feelings of abandonment, desperation, inner conflict, confusion, joy, lightness, friendship, infatuation, laughter.
A couple of my favorite Sean-Avery scenes are in this book. They have a very bipolar relashionship and they will have you going up and down the emotional scale in no time flat. Brace yourself for some steamy scenes! HM Ward has a way of making your insides twist and turn as you're reading. In my opinion, this book marks a turning point in Sean's "road to recovery". Ends with yet another "OMG" cliffhanger that makes you want to dive into the 6th book to find out what happens. As with the other books, it is an emotional roller-coaster of love, romance, friendship, betrayal, sadness, optimism, revelations, comedy, mourning, melancholy, healing and shock as in the cliffhanger at the end!
Once again, HM Ward uses the art of the written language to make us feel what her characters are feeling along with them. My heart sped up and thumped hard at certain points, my mouth crept up into a smile at others This book is all about confessions, revelations and breakthroughs. Avery and Sean's struggle to detangle themselves in the mess that is their feelings for each other and the scars left by their previous lives reaches an epic level. Secrets are shared, tears are shed, answers are revealed but there still seems to be a lot of obstacles in their way.
The tension is palpable. We get a better view into Sean's depravity and it's not pretty. This book crosses-over with Damaged 2. Another amazing read by HM Ward! This book starts off a little differently than the other "Arrangement" books in that it is not a DIRECT continuation of the previous cliffhanger. You don't have to read "Damaged 2" to follow the story because the important information is relayed to the reader as flashbacks in Avery's mind.
